We sat down with Ben Anderson, head of eCommerce at Rebel to chat basketball, YouTube tutorials, and bringing happiness, love and success to those around you.
How do you define success?
Bringing happiness, love and success to those around me.
What was the last thing you bought online?
My weekly coffee subscription and a pair of sneakers from StockX.
What is one thing that retailers do that drives you up the wall?
Asking for my personal details without having a proposition or reason for giving them over.
When was the first time you shopped online?
One of my first experiences was buying basketball collector cards on eBay. To this day I still love everything about the hobby and have kept all my cards.
What’s your most-used App on your phone?
WhatsApp and LinkedIn.
What takes up too much of your time?
Looking up “how to do things” on YouTube and never finishing the job.
What did you want to be when you were five years old?
Michael Jordan or my dad.
What is one of your guilty pleasures?
Cutting my lawn, or having my morning coffee after a workout.
What is one song that you would request a DJ to play at a party?
That’s a hard question but probably Noiseworks – Take Me Back.
If you could appear on any TV show as a special guest, what would it be?
Survivor by a country mile. Love the mix of social play, physical strength and mental strategy involved to win! For the record I would not be good at playing it.

I have always wanted to visit Cinque Terre and I want to take my daughter to Disneyland.
What is the most impressive thing you know how to do?
Get out of doing the housework by saying I need to mow the lawn.
What risks are worth taking?
Uncertainty surrounds any risk, and there is always a justification for avoiding action. However, both personal and professional development stem from the ability to embrace discomfort and venture beyond your comfort zone. I see all risks as worth taking.
And remember always bet Black!
Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?
Although it may not seem like the most thrilling destination, the place I yearn to revisit the most is my grandparents’ home. Witnessing my Pa indulge in a heap of food cooked by my nan while we chatted about the dismal performance of the Richmond team and shared tales of our day was simply unparalleled.
Do you support AFL? Who is your team?
COLLINGWOOD!!! Go Pies! And yes, I have all my teeth.
What is one skill you would love to master?

Hearing my daughter giggle at all my jokes.

My favourite cartoon as a child was Heman but I would say the ability to teleport in time.

Egg Hoppers and Chicken Curry. Simply the best.
