AirRobe launches industry first resale solution
AirRobe has collaborated with a group of well known Australian fashion brands to provide an industry first solution that allows users to resell preloved fashion with just one click.
AirRobe has launched a new feature that enables over 10 years’ worth of fashion to enter the Circular Fashion Economy in one click.
Launched in 2020, AirRobe is a circular fashion technology product that facilitates the resale or renting of fashion items with ease. The tech platform enables fashion retailers and their end-customers to seamlessly enter and monetise the circular economy. AirRobe’s flagship product, the AirRobe Circular Wardrobe, integrates directly into online retail stores. It is now partnered with over 180 brands globally to help curb fashion waste and stimulate a circular economy.
Launched this week, the new Past Orders feature on the Circular Wardrobe is being rolled out across many of AirRobe’s Circular Network partners, including Mode Sportif, Viktoria & Woods, Poppy Lissiman, Bul, Alpha60 and Marle, with more to be announced in the coming months. The feature allows users to seamlessly integrate past orders from the partner retailer’s online shops with just a click, making the resale process simpler than ever.
Founder & CEO of AirRobe, Hannon Comazzetto, explains “pieces that were purchased from our brand partners many years ago can now be added to AirRobe in one click. Once a fashion item is added to AirRobe, customers can resell, rent or recycle their pre-loved purchases without having to do any heavy lifting.
“The Circular Economy is critical to our culture and humanity. We must prioritise circularity and sustainability in the industry to reduce our impact on the planet. AirRobe is committed to incentivising the creation of – and the investment in – timeless, durable pieces. More and more consumers are seeing their wardrobe as an asset – they want long-lasting clothes. We are working together with the best designers and fashion brands to accelerate this trend, and the Past Orders feature is a big step in that direction.”
The fashion industry is the second most polluting industry in the world with around 85 percent of all textiles end up in landfill annually. “We are on a mission to create a better world powered by circular economies,” said Comazzetto.
“AirRobe hopes to inspire more brands to take leadership towards a circular ecosystem by joining the movement. Considering the environmental and societal instability currently being faced around the world, there is no better time for brands and individuals to join the circular economy.”
