Amazon Australia is launching its Boxing Say sale early with its six days of Boxing Day Sales.

Amazon Australia has today launched its annual Boxing Day sale, which will take place from December 23 to 28. The sale is set to offer discounts for customers across all categories. Further initiatives include the offering that shoppers who spend over $39 on a single order are eligible for free shipping. Prime Members will automatically receive free shipping on eligible orders in addition to having access to Prime exclusive deals.

‘We’re thrilled to be kicking off the Amazon.com.au Boxing Day sale for deal-savvy Aussies,’ says Country Manager for Amazon Australia Janet Menzies. ‘I’m sure many customers, including me, will take the opportunity to ‘be your own Santa’ by picking up the things they really wanted but maybe didn’t receive for the holidays. We’re proud to offer a huge range of products at discounted prices, including products from small and medium local Australian and New Zealand businesses. Whether you’re after something big-ticket or using the discounts to make your dollar go further on everyday essentials – there really is something for everyone!”

Amazon will be offering up to 47 percent off PHILIPS TVs as well as various discounts across tech categories, and offers up to 40 percent off clothing and apparel from selected brands and retailers.

This extended sales event comes off the back of a successful Black Friday sales period. Amazon released its global Q3 sales update in October which saw sales increase from $110.8 billion to $127.1 billion year on year. Despite this, the company forecast a disappointing Q4. As reported last month, Q4 sales were expected to be between $140 billion and $148 billion, the number shying away from the predicted $156 billion revenue.

This isn’t the first extended sales event Amazon has done this year in order to boost sales. In September, it announced a second Prime Day Event, the initial Prime Day event for this year was held in early July, with that event ultimately becoming the single biggest Prime Day event in Amazon’s history with more than 300 million items worldwide snapped up by Prime Members during the event’s two days. The second Prime Day event in October had significantly less impact with only a third of the sales made in July at 100 million sales over the course of the event.
