All Star Bash 2024 Winners!

The 2024 All Star Bash was an unforgettable glamorous evening of celebration as we recognised the best of the best in Australian retail.

The 2024 All Star Bash festivities started with an info-packed session at the Power Retail Outlook Lunch where our team provided industry leaders with exclusive insights into the ecommerce landscape including a presentation from Power Retail Head of Data, David Fear, a keynote from Nicholas Kontopoulos Vice President of Marketing for Twilio, Asia Pacific & Japan; and insights from Taeressa Fawthrop, Chief Consumer Officer at Team Global Express in a fireside chat hosted by Rob Godwin, the CEO of the National Retail Association.

Following the Outlook Lunch was the star of the show, the 2024 All Star Bash. The prestigious event was held at Melbourne’s Crown Palladium and hosted by the hilarious Merrick Watts who had the entire crowd crying with laughter.

The official afterparty hosted by Convert Digital at Leftbank, the chicest bar in Southbank, was a smash hit with celebrations going late into the night.

Guests left the event with a special giftbag filled with exclusive gifts from our generous sponsors and the 2024 edition of The Ecommerce Leaders’ Playbook, featuring the highly anticipated Top 100 Australian Online Retailers Ranking, all the winners from the night, and exclusive industry insights.

The Most Improved Online Performance Award is dedicated to a retailer who has shown an improvement in the Australian Top 100 ranking compared to last year.

The Top Emerging Online Retailer Award is for  a pureplay, Australia-based online retailer who has experienced rapid growth and influence over the last one to three years.

Top Innovator – Penfolds
The Top Innovator Award is dedicated to a retailer who has demonstrated remarkable innovation within its business. This may include innovation in tech, delivery and logistics, social commerce initiatives, or other aspects of online retailing.

Top Home & Decor Retailer –  Temple & Webster
The Top Home & Decor Retailer Award is dedicated to a retailer who specialises in home and decor products and has excelled in Australia’s Top 100 online retailer rankings.

The Top Sports & Outdoor Retailer Award is dedicated to a retailer who specialises in sporting and outdoor goods and has excelled in Australia’s Top 100 online retailer rankings.

Top Online Only Retailer – Temple & Webster
The Top Online Only Retailer Award is dedicated to the pureplay retailer who has ranked highest on Australia’s Top 100 online retailer ranking.

Top Small-Medium Retailer – Beginning Boutique
The Top Small-Medium Retailer Award is dedicated to the SME retailer who has ranked highest in Australia’s Top 100 online retailer rankings.

Top Beauty Retailer – Priceline
The Top Beauty Retailer Award is dedicated to a retailer who specialises in cosmetics products and has excelled in Australia’s Top 100 online retailer rankings.

Top Australian Marketplace – Luxury Escapes
The Top Australian Marketplace Award is dedicated to the Australian online marketplace that has ranked the highest on Australia’s Top 100 online retailer ranking.

Top Social Retailer – Kmart
The Top Social Retailer Award celebrates a retailer who has found great success in social media, using these channels to build awareness, drive business growth, and provide support for customers.

Top Mobile Experience – Rockmans
The Top Mobile Experience Award is dedicated to the retailer who has a higher ratio of mobile visitors to desktop visitors.

The Top Loyalty Program Award is dedicated to the retailer who has an innovative, immersive, and inspiring Loyalty Program.

Top Customer Experience – Naked Wines
The Top Customer Experience Award is dedicated to a retailer who has demonstrated a remarkable online customer journey from the first click to the last mile.

#1 Retailer – Bunnings Warehouse
Bunnings Warehouse is one of Australia’s most iconic retailers the leading retailer of home improvement and lifestyle products, and a major supplier to project builders, commercial tradespeople, and the housing industry. With an estimated market share of around 50 percent in the DIY sector, Bunnings only grows in popularity year on year and takes out this year’s most prestigious award.

Each year we expand our data collection, research and analysis to identify the top online retailers in Australia. In addition to our Switched On Benchmarking data, retailers across the country submit entries for the awards. Entrants are then ranked based on an extensive range of quantitative and qualitative measures and weighted by our analysis and esteemed panel of judges. This year our panel of esteemed judges features Professor Gary Mortimer of QUT, Loyalty Specialist Adam Posner, SHE-com Founder and CEO Lisa Jones, Ecommerce Coach Kelly Slessor, and Sustainability Specialist Anna Forster from The Purpose Agents.
