Catch is teaming up with Target to open a pop-up shop in Melbourne's High Point shopping centre just in time for Christmas.

The 800-sqm store will feature a curated range of items available from Catch’s marketplace, including Dyson, Birkenstock, Nike and other best sellers from the online store.

The pop-up store will be a part of the Target store in High Point – Target is owned by Wesfarmers, which acquired Catch Group for $225 million in August 2019.

This is not the first collaboration that the companies have shared. Wesfarmers partnered its subsidiaries, Target and Kmart, together with Catch in a deal for Catch Club members. In August, the completion of acquisition took place, with hopes to expand the marketplace further than ever.

“We look forward to investing in and continuing to grow Catch Group’s leading platform and unique customer and supplier proposition, while leveraging the Catch team’s expertise to accelerate digital and e-commerce capabilities across Wesfarmers and Kmart Group,” said Rob Scott, the Managing Director of Wesfarmers, in August 2019.

“When you add the broader range of categories and capabilities we have acquired through Catch, we have a strong portfolio of brands, with distinctive offers to customers that differentiate us from our competitors and allow us to meet the evolving needs of customers in the future.”

This is also not the first pop-up store that Catch has seen – in October 2018, the online marketplace opened its first pop-up store in Chadstone. As a result, the Group’s gross transaction values rose 62 per cent in this 6-month period to $254 million. Active customer growth was 54 per cent year on year at the end of the quarter.

“We have been listening closely to our customers and understand that the way they want to shop is evolving. Since joined the Wesfarmers, Kmart Group family we knew there was an opportunity to partner together. Target as an iconic Australian retailer is dedicated to making style and quality affordable for the whole family and the product offering that Catch provides customers makes the Catch Highpoint popup a great example of two brands working together to provide our customers with almost everything they need this Christmas,” Marina Joanou, Managing Director of Target Australia told Power Retail.

“In keeping with Catch’s core premise of a huge range at everyday low prices, this is a great opportunity for Target’s Highpoint customers to access leading brand-name products at huge discounts,” explained Nati Harpaz. the CEO of Catch Group.

“Target and Catch have a shared ambition to deliver shoppers exceptional value and together we are able to offer them the best of both worlds by bringing the best of online, instore.”

The pop-up store will open on Movember 8th and features ‘screamin’ good deals across technology, toys, beauty and fashion categories, to name a few’. The pop-up store will run until February 2020.
