Celebrating the Very Best of Online Retail at the All Star Bash
As one of the biggest and most-talked about events on the e-commerce calendar, the Power Retail All Star Bash promises a night of excellence, as well as celebrating the retailers who have excelled online.
The All Star Bash is just around the corner, and now in its fifth year, will be bigger and better than ever.
Taking place on Thursday, February 20th at Palladium Crown, the All Star Bash celebrates the very best of online retail in Australia. The Awards honour Australia’s most innovative pureplay and cross-channel retailers gathering to celebrate their achievements.
This year, there are more awards than ever before. In 2018, there were 12; in 2019 there was 18. To celebrate the start of a new decade, this year we’re pushing the envelope with a whopping 22 awards. Not only will Power Retail celebrate Australia’s #1 Online Retailer, but it will also celebrate categories such as ‘Most Improved Online Performance’ and Best Cross Border Performance’.
Below is a list of the Award Categories that will be celebrated at the 2020 All Star Bash Awards.

Establishing the shortlist and winners from each category isn’t an easy task. Using Power Retail’s data-driven approach of 2019, there have been additional measures added that take into account multiple aspects of a retailer’s performance. According to David Fear, the Head of Analytics at Power Retail, this means there are a wider span of retailers that have a chance of grabbing a top industry award for their commitment to online retail.
“In earlier years, Power Retail has used revenue and traffic volumes as the primary measure for ranking the list – however in 2018 we began to recognise additional measures to focus on the overall application of best practice to distinguish the leading online retailers,” Fear explains.
Last year, some of the big winners included Showpo, MyDeal.com.au, Cotton On and Catch. The coveted #1 Online Retailer, for two years in a row, was awarded to the multi-channel supermarket, Woolworths. Who will win this year? Stay tuned as we uncover the shortlist this week.
The 2020 All Star Bash will be held on February 20 at Palladium Crown from 6.30 pm until 11.00 pm.
