Click Frenzy Announces Hunt for Australia’s Best Online Shopper
In the lead up to its November sales event, Click Frenzy has announced its flagship 'Ironshopper' competition. With a $50,000 cash prize up-for-grabs, the company is looking to attract more eager shoppers to its annual event than ever before.
Click Frenzy is reportedly on the hunt for Australia’s best online shopper, as it launches its first Ironshopper competition. The company opened the gates for competition entries on Wednesday morning, asking savvy consumers to submit videos up to one minute in length via social media, telling competition judges why they deserve to be crowned Australia’s best online shopper.
According to Click Frenzy’s Managing Director, Grant Arnott, the promotion is the biggest the company has run since it first launched in 2012.
“This is without a doubt our most exciting promotion ever,” he said. “We’ve crowned Australia’s best cooks, best renovators and best singletons ad nauseum. Now it’s the online shopping community’s time to shine!”
It’s free to enter, and Aussie consumers are invited to submit their videos from Wednesday, October 24 until Sunday, November 4. Arnott says that entrants will be judged on their shopping acumen, creativity and ingenuity.
The company is also looking at keeping email subscribers engaged during the event by offering a $10,000 cash prize for subscribers that are willing to go head-to-head with this year’s batch of Ironshoppers. Arnott is keeping the details of this extra prize close to his belt, asking shoppers to stay tuned during the event for more information.
“We’re going all out in 2018, and there’s no doubt Click Frenzy will be the epicentre of e-commerce from November 13, with all eyes on Ironshopper and the best Click Frenzy deals,” Arnott said.
According to Hitwise data, Click Frenzy attracted 2.2 million visitors in 2017, generating a bigger buzz, and attracting more website visitors than last year’s Black Friday sales. This year, Arnott is expecting to see even bigger results. “This next event is certainly going to break that record.”
Historically, Click Frenzy keeps quiet about the exclusive deals that will be on offer during the event, as well as information surrounding the participating retailers. In the past, the sale has attracted household brands like Myer, Peter Alexander, Cotton On, and Bonds, to name a few.
