E-COMMERCE TIME MACHINE: Spendless
Spendless has served Australians with affordable shoes for more than 30 years, and has kept the typical Aussie consumer up to date with the hottest shoes. But has its e-commerce offering been as trendy? Take a look at the Power Retail e-commerce time machine to find out!
For Spendless (formerly Spend-Less Shoes), the e-commerce game wasn’t a huge priority until the mid-2010s. Quite late in the game, the business joined the online retail world with strong red branding and affordable prices but didn’t introduce a fully-shoppable site until the early 2010s.
The retailer has been around for 30 years, so we decided to jump into the e-commerce time machine to see how much its online offering has changed. Keeping the iconic red colour palette hasn’t changed, but what about its online offering? Has the platform transformed with the trends in the shoe world, or were they late to the game?
