eStore Supports E-Com Demand with $75M Fulfilment Centre
eStore Logistics is opening another fulfilment centre, making it eight in total. This FC is located in Bankstown, Sydney, and was developed to support the ongoing demand of the e-commerce boom.
The $75 million FC will be the second largest in its fleet, spanning 19,130 sqm – the largest in NSW. Equipped with 77 AI-powered Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), but plans to expand this beyond 120 in the future. These ‘significantly’ speed up the picking and packing process, and can help retailers operate same-day deliveries.
Currently, there are four FCs run by eStore that feature the AMRs. The 3PL company has been using the AMR technology since March 2020, which can help provide same-day fulfilment of e-commerce orders placed before 4 pm.
The FC has been designed to cater to large and bulky items, such as furniture and appliances. However, it will also operate the fulfilment of smaller items, including fashion, health and beauty, books and sports and hobbies, which are best suited for AMR technology.

“The world has changed a lot over the last 18 months and ecommerce has been completely transformed,” said Leigh Williams, the Founder and MD of eStore Logistics. “Consumers are demanding faster and more flexible deliveries, and we’ve been scaling our business to meet the growing demand, by providing our customers with state of the art fulfilment and warehousing solutions.”
There has been an ongoing demand for online retailers over the last 18 months and is showing no signs of returning to pre-pandemic levels.
“We’ve seen huge demand from ecommerce and omnichannel retailers that are looking to instate eStore’s turnkey warehousing, fulfilment and last-mile solutions, driven by the desire to improve service, speed of fulfilment and scale during peak periods,” said Williams. “All of these new business opportunities are fuelling strong revenue growth and building economies of scale for eStore.”
The FC will be fully operational from November 2021 and will create up to 120 new jobs.
