Former Esther & Co. GM is the New CEO of Tigerlily
Tigerlily is welcoming Travis Wright as its new CEO, the former General Manager of e-commerce retailer, Esther & Co.
Wright landed the role as CEO after six and a half years as the General Manager of Esther & Co., an Australian online womenswear retailer. During her tenure at the fashion brand, she and her team bolstered 5x revenue growth and continued profitability during the height of the pandemic.
Wright was an instrumental figure in the launch of its marketplace and helped the brand establish a global footprint, the Founder of Esther & Co. said on Linkedin.
“Thank you, Travis, for devoting your heart to growing the Esther Brand with me. It could not have been possible without you! I am very excited to follow all the great things you are yet to achieve and wish you all the love and success for the road ahead,” she said.
In her place, John Hardy will take the role of General Manager at Esther & Co.
Wright shared the news on LinkedIn this afternoon, expressing her excitement for the new role. “The team & I are already off to a racing start this week – which I’m sure comes as no surprise,” she said.
“I can’t wait to look back a year from now on all we’ve achieved together. There is so much opportunity for Tigerlily in Australia and overseas. To say the least, it’s going to be a very exciting chapter. Here we go!”
In July 2020, Tigerlily was saved from collapse after filing for voluntary administration in March last year. The retailer cited the pandemic as the ‘core reason‘ for its declining sales. Crumpler acquired the womenswear retailer in July 2020 and combined IT systems, warehouses and head office spaces. However, its brand identities and businesses remain separate from each other.
