Chemist Warehouse Extends Partnership with Tmall

Chemist Warehouse is extending its partnership with Tmall for another two years. The pharmacy announced the renewal of its ‘strategic collaboration’ with the Chinese marketplace for another two years. Tmall first announced the collaboration with Chemist Warehouse in 2015 and has become one of the largest cross-border store in the world that sells on the platform.

“Since the previous deal signed two years ago, we have worked in partnership with the company to successfully grow their brand awareness in China. As Chemist Warehouse’s partnership with Alibaba matures, today’s agreement will see the company open additional stores and work with us on a range of new and exciting marketing initiatives,” explained Maggie Zhou, the Managing Director of Alibaba Group in Australia.

Go Global Acquires ModCloth from Walmart

Go Global has acquired ModCloth from Walmart for an undisclosed price. “We believe that ModCloth’s strong brand equity positions it for growth in the future. We feel good about the progress at ModCloth and believe that Go Global’s team and scale-out strategy presents an attractive opportunity for the employees and customers of this beloved brand,” explained Ashley Hubka, the Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Development and Partnerships at Walmart.

Uniqlo Collaborates with Alexander Wang

Uniqlo has announced its latest collaboration with Alexander Wang for the Spring/Summer 2019 collection. This is the second collection between the two retailers and aims to ‘bring together the exceptional functionality of UNIQLO’s innovative AIRism fabric with Alexander Wang’s sleek styling’. “Working with UNIQLO on the second season of the collaboration, it felt like there was a mutual understanding of not only aesthetics but of each other’s work ethic. It was easier coming together this time around to accomplish a similar goal from various touch-points. Innovation has always been at the forefront of our design and creative process, and functionality serves a huge purpose in the way I and our customers dress. Therefore, through the influence of innovation, technology and functionality, the special AIRism collection was born,” said Alexander Wang.
