eBay CEO Steps Down

eBay has announced its CEO and President, Devin Wenig, is stepping down from his role after 12 years with the company. The eBay board is currently in search of someone to fill the role. “During his 12 years at eBay, Scott has demonstrated that he is a strong and dynamic leader who knows our business inside and out. He has worked closely with our teams across the Company to execute our strategy. We are confident that Scott’s experience at eBay positions him well to lead the Company during this time,” said Thomas Tierney, Chairman of the eBay Inc. Board.

Forever New Enters US Market

Forever New is entering the US market with the launch of its new website. It will also be trading under a new name, Ever New. The website will also coincide with its partnership with Nordstrom in 2018 as well as the brick-and-mortar inclusions with Bloomingdales and Neiman Marcus. “We have always had great ambitions for Ever New, and its continued success in the US has been a wonderful achievement for our brand,” explained Carolyn Mackenzie, the Managing Director at Forever New. “We are excited to be expanding in North America and a branded US website was the next step on
our journey. We have had a lot of demand for our product in the US so we are happy to give our US customers one more way to shop with us.”

Woolworths Increases MarleySpoon Investment

Woolworths is forking out $4 million an investment with Marley Spoon. “We are happy to see the continued support of key investors and strategic partners in the ongoing growth of Marley Spoon. Consumers continue to discover our meal kit brands that offer a more convenient and sustainable way for weeknight cooking,” said Fabian Siegel, Marley Spoon’s Co-Founder and CEO.

“Over the past few years, the Marley Spoon team has built a $200,000,000 run-rate revenue business that continues to grow fast as consumers continue to switch from offline shopping to online meal-kits. We believe we are just witnessing the beginning of consumer adoption in our industry.”
