Click Frenzy is announcing the launch of its new online marketplace - Frenz Central - which aims to launch in the first half of 2021. Here's everything you need to know.

Click Frenzy, the online sales event that launched in 2012, is set to launch a new digital marketplace as a destination for the platform’s wide range of products, brands and rewards.

The marketplace, Frenz Central, complements the ‘frenetic intensity’ of the Click Frenzy event with premium brands and products. The launch is planned for the first half of 2021 and will continue to grow as it leads into its major online shopping event in November. In addition, Frenz Central will also benefit loyal online shoppers with the introduction of its new loyalty program – Frenz with Benefits.

Grant Arnott, the Managing Director of Click Frenzy, explains that the marketplace is a way to bring retailers to even more consumers. “Over many years now we have built a huge fan following of online shoppers and brands, with a proven formula of excellent savings, exciting promotions and quality products for a limited time,” Arnott says. “Launching a marketplace as an extension to our events allows us to reach and reward our loyal shoppers year-round, and opens up a new avenue of brands and products. We’re putting the foot down in 2021, and Frenz Central is an important part of our growth plans.”

In addition to this new marketplace launch, Click Frenzy is also welcoming Mark Gray – previously Head of Marketplaces at Catch – to lead the marketplace launch and growth. Gray has a wealth of experience working in marketplaces, holding roles such as Managing Director of ChannelAdvisor for Australasia, and working in partnership with Amazon and eBay. Most recently, Gray worked with TheMarket, the NZ-based marketplace owned and operated by The Warehouse Group.

To assist with the build of the Frenz Central, the tech platform has chosen Mirakl to build the marketplace, which previously worked with Catch on its own digital offering. As the retail industry continues to experience and undergo massive shifts, the launch of a marketplace feels like a natural next step for Click Frenzy.

The move is “imperative” as the retail industry transitions from an offer-driven economy to one that is “rooted in customer choice,” explains Adrien Nussenbaum, the Co-Founder and US CEO of Mirakl. “It is an honour to work with Click Frenzy to power the creation of this brand-new destination shopping experience,” he adds.

Click Frenzy first launched in 2012 and has amassed a database of over 1.6 million shoppers. Without revenue from the marketplace, Click Frenzy is on track to record more than 30 percent growth for FY21. In 2020, the company experienced 61.95 percent more traffic compared to any other year. Even while postponing Click Frenzy Travel in 2020 due to the pandemic, the business believes it has all the necessary ingredients to launch a marketplace platform.

Frenz Central is perfectly positioned for this next stage of growth. “With Mark and his team’s talent and experience, plus the Mirakl platform underpinning the marketplace, Frenz Central is superbly placed for success,” Arnott explains. “It’s going to be an amazing experience for our loyal shopper base who already love what we do with Click Frenzy, and preliminary talks with merchants have indicated plenty of excitement. It’s time!” Frenz Central is on track to launch in the first half of 2021.

Disclosure: Click Frenzy Pty Ltd is owned by Global Marketplace, the parent company of Power Retail.
