Online flower delivery service, LVLY, is entering a new chapter of its business, naming David Robinson as its CEO. This comes two months after the business was acquired by Limitless Techology Group.
In an announcement made by co-founder, Hanna Spilva, Robinson has been an integral part of the business for seven years, acting as a shareholder and advisory board member since 2016. “It’s with great excitement, pride and nostalgia that I officially hand over the CEO backpack to David Robinson this week,” she wrote on LinkedIn.
“Dave has been part of the LVLY journey for seven years, he’s been a shareholder and advisor to the business and a very influential mentor to me personally,” she continued. “But success has not been linear. There have been countless setbacks and a few hairy moments where we thought we were completely stuffed.”
She shared that Robinson’s presence throughout the business’ growth and journey makes him the perfect person to guide the business into its next steps of growth.
This move is the next step towards the business’ growth, following an international expansion and $35 million acquisition by Limitless Technology Group. The move aims to expand the business across Australia, with plans to then take it internationally. As part of this move, Hannah Spilva will step own as CEO and move into an advisory position with Limitless.
“We’ve been through a period of rapid growth in the Australian market but have always had our sights set on becoming a global business,” said Spilva of the news. “Working alongside Limitless we are able to accelerate international expansion opportunities as well as increase market share domestically. We have found a close alignment of purpose and values with the Limitless team. At the heart of our brand lies a strong social and environmental conscience.”
Spilva will join the Limitless advisory board, overseeing the growth of the business and helping guide it for the future.
“From our first meeting, it was clear that the LVLY brand is a fantastic fit in Limitless’ portfolio,” shared the founder and CEO of Limitless, Maximillian Lotz. “We are thrilled to welcome Hannah as part of our leadership team. We expect LVLY to be highly successful beyond Australia. At the same time, Limitless brands benefit from LVLY’s synergistic operational footprint with market-leading same-day delivery across Australia.”
In a LinkedIn post shared by Spilva, she continued to share her excitement for the future, and for Robinson’s move into the CEO role. “David Robinson has been there every step of the way and that’s why there’s no better person to help LVLY scale the next summit,” she wrote. “I’m excited to take my next leap as I join the Limitless Technology Group leadership team to help shape the future of the group.”
