eBay’s Personalised New Feed Feature
Providing a personalised online shopping experience is the key to a consumer’s heart, according to eBay, having just released its new ‘Feed’ feature in Australia.
eBay has made changes to the look and feel of its homepage to create a more ‘personalised’ shopping experience for visitors.
eBay’s new ‘feed’ user-interface launched in Australia this week. The interface is designed to respond to user preferences for a Pinterest-style experience for viewing products using keywords and categories.
A statement issued by eBay says the new feature lets users customise and curate their own shopping experience.
“As of today when you log on to eBay.com.au you will start to see a more personalised shopping experience that is tailored to your passions and preferences – we call it the Feed, and we’re pretty excited about it,” the statement read.
“eBay is committed to delivering more inspiring, more intuitive ways to browse and buy the things that matter to you most. It’s why we’re bringing you a new way to customise and curate your eBay shopping experience and discover products tailored for your interests — right on the homepage.”
Users can add and update interests, brands and trends each time they visit the site. The more interests added, the more the homepage will reflect a personalised shopping experience. This personalised experience blends the technology of search with the inspiration of browsing – allowing users to discover new items each time they visit the site.
