Reject Shop Partners with DoorDash for One Hour Delivery
The Reject Shop is partnering with DoorDash to accelerate same-day delivery and collection.
Australian customers will be able to order products from The Reject Shop, using the DoorDash app or the Reject Shop’s e-commerce platform, and have the items at their doorstep within the hour. This comes as the Christmas sales season ramps up, and customers become increasingly worried about their deliveries arriving on time.
“The DoorDash partnership allows The Reject Shop to trial an online offering quicker than we planned and with minimal capital investment,” said Andre Reich, the Chief Executive of The Reject Shop.
“It is a customer-centric offering that provides new and existing customers with a choice around how they wish to shop with us, which has become increasingly important this year.”
DoorDash is a US-based tech company, founded in 2013, and primarily serves as a food delivery service. This is the first time online delivery will be available to Reject Shop customers.
“We’re excited to bring this capability to The Reject Shop so they can serve the whole country with the home essentials they need, available on-demand at unbeatable prices,” said Chase Gardner, the Head of Enterprise at DoorDash.
Shoppers that plan to use the new service can purchase via the Reject Shop website, which will then be redirected to the DoorDash platform, allowing them to place the delivery.
DoorDash currently operates in more 4,000 cities across the globe. While only 120 Reject Shop stores currently offer this new service, more are expected to onboard soon. South Australian shoppers can use the service from mid-November, SmartCompany reported.
