One Week to Go: 2021 All Star Bash
The Power Retail All Star Bash is back in 2021, and will be bigger and better than ever before! Will you be there to celebrate the best of the best Australian digital retail has to offer?
It’s the annual event that the Australian e-commerce industry looks forward to the most, and it’s only one week away!
The All Star Bash recognises the leading online retailers that Australia has to offer, and following a year of undeniable change and unparalleled developments, it’s safe to say that there will be some new names, iconic faces and well-deserving wins throughout this year’s event.
Over the last 12 months, e-commerce popularity has gone through the roof. Together, we will all honour the best of the best in the e-commerce industry, develop a core network and celebrate the hard work that Australian digital retailers put in over 2020 and beyond.
Last year, Power Retail kicked off the year by awarding some of Australia’s leading retailers with prestigious awards, including Woolworths, Adore Beauty and Catch among many others.
Last year we celebrated the Australian online retail space with a whopping 650 guests at Palladium – this year, we’re set to break that record.
Check out the highlight reel from last year’s event.
Woolworths took out the top spot as the #1 Online Retailer – a three-peat. Will the company take out the top spot again? You’ll have to attend the All Star Bash to find out!
How is the Ranking Decided?
There is no simple answer to this complex question. However, Power Retail works holistically to decide the rankings – we also work with a panel of prestigious judges across a series of awards.
“In earlier years, Power Retail used revenue and traffic volumes as the primary measure for ranking the list,” explains David Fear, Head of Analytics at Power Retail. “However, in 2018 we began to focus on the overall application of best practice to distinguish the leading online retailers.
“The end result is an extensive range of data metrics from a range of sources, including quantitative metrics from third-party sources In conjunction with consumer sentiment surveys and research conducted in-house, we have created a world-class ranking system that recognises not only traffic and revenue, but also high-performing retailers that can expect to see success in the coming years,” he explains.
