ParcelPoint Experiences Massive Growth This Christmas

Due to the high number of missed online shopping deliveries, ParcelPoint is experiencing some phenomenal growth in uptake over this Christmas period.

Australia’s quickly expanding network of extended-hours parcel collection points, ParcelPoint has revealed it is experiencing phenomenal growth, particularly with consumers using its redelivery service this Christmas.

According to a Coredata survey of 1,000 Australian online shoppers, more than two-thirds say they regularly miss deliveries to their home, placing ParcelPoint’s redelivery service as an obvious choice to avoid further hassles. As a result, the company has reported a spike in growth of ten times its base-level uptake.

The number of customers choosing to have their parcels redelivered to one of ParcelPoint’s 1,100 (and growing) locations also saw huge growth in the lead up to Christmas, increasing 65 percent since last month.

The service is also seeing results from a recent partnership with The Iconic, in which the pureplay retailer added ParcelPoint’s click and collect option to their online checkout. As such The Iconic’s customers can choose to have their order delivered directly to their local ParcelPoint location and avoiding the hassles of missed deliveries and redeliveries.

Adam Jacobs, Co-founder of The Iconic, believes ParcelPoint was an easy to choice to increase his brand’s service offering, providing customers with greater flexibility and therefore confidence at the checkout.

“Our partnership with ParcelPoint makes it even easier to shop with The Iconic, with customers now able to opt to collect their purchase from a convenient location such as a local convenience store or petrol station, in addition to having their orders delivered to their home or work.”
