Retail Fest brings retailers together for AFL Grand Final lunch combining charity, business, and sport.

Retail Global, the team behind Retail Fest, brought the retail community together in Melbourne last week for its AFL Grand Final Legends Lunch, combining footy, networking, and fundraising ahead of the big game.

The sell-out event, made possible with the help of Parcel Protect, welcomed retailers, industry professionals and AFL greats including Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico, Daniel Harford, Ben Cousins, and Carlton AFLW captain Abbie McKay, who shared stories and insights from their careers.

A key focus of the afternoon was giving back, with LIVIN co-founder Casey Lyons sharing the organisation’s work to raise awareness around mental health and suicide prevention.

The event raised thousands of dollars for charity, adding an important purpose to an afternoon centred around community and connection.

The Aggregate Co team also announced the latest recipient of its 12-month Business Scholarship, with local slow-design womenswear brand MAKU Studios selected for the intensive program. The scholarship provides an Australian ecommerce business with mentoring, strategic guidance, operational support and access to technology and industry networks to help it scale more effectively.

With the AFL Premiership Cup making a special appearance, and even a glimpse of Kylie Minogue rehearsing for her showstopping Grand Final performance, it was a fitting celebration of the retail community coming together through sport, business, and charity.
