Sincerest Form of Flattery? Meet Bunnings Warehouse’s Clone
Bunnings Warehouse, the iconic and instantly recognisable Australian hardware retailer, has a clone. Meet Builder's Warehouse, a home and hardware retailer.
A retailer in the Phillipinne’s has taken the expression “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” to the next level by finding its inspiration from Aussie retailer Bunnings.
As uncovered by PEDESTRIAN TV, Our Builder’s Warehouse was established in 2018 in Dau, Mabalacat, Pampanga, a city in the Phillippines, and describes itself as ‘adequately furnished with all-encompassing home building and construction materials’.

To the untrained eye, Builder’s Warehouse is borderline a carbon copy of the Australian retailer, right down to its bright red hammer and bottle green background. Of course, there are some differences – eg. Bunnings’ “Lowest Prices are Just the Beginning” is “You Build We Provide” for Builders.

According to its website, the aim of Our Builder’s Warehouse is to be the “purveyor of top quality yet economical products”. The retailer sells homewares, kitchenware and toys. There are currently five stores across the Phillippines.
Power Retail reached out to Bunnings but they declined to comment.
