This Huge Retailer Award is Coming Down Under
Looking back on 2020, it's safe to say that the world has fundamentally changed in more ways than one. With the months of lockdown forcing stores to close, the adoption of e-commerce has become a necessity for future-proofing a business. Here is how Retail Global is celebrating.
Retailers have had to act quickly to adapt and pivot to the ever-changing landscape throughout the year, and have overcome new and unprecedented challenges.
The NRF and Retail Global are partnering together to celebrate the solutions that power the retail ecosystem with the Vendors in Partnership (VIP) Awards.
“We believe in retail, and have always worked to advance success and drive the art of the possible within the industry. These awards are an Industry celebration for the industry, by the industry, with nine leading retailers & analysts judging each submission and the general retail community acting as the 10th vote,” explained the Co-Founders of the VIP Awards, Phil Leahy and Vicki Cantrell.
The VIP AWards, which usually take place in the NRF Retail Week in New York, is coming its way to Australia. The new location aims to celebrate and recognise the solution providers and retailers that have created successful transformations throughout the year.
“Retail has been my entire career. I’ve been lucky enough to work for top retailers and brands, to have represented the industry as a spokesperson, and to work for long-time retail solutions providers. Through Vendors in Partnership, we will forge a community of solution providers and retailers founded on trust and executing on a collaborative methodology for transformative partnerships, to positively impact and develop retail’s future,” said Cantrell.
“The partnership and the solutions that drive retail should be celebrated. The ecosystem that powers retail is made up of important companions that deserve recognition, for guiding, providing, innovating and investing. Australian retailers and Solution providers have changed the game in 2020, and we want to recognise those partnerships that are driving the future of retail,” shared Phil Leahy.
The VIP Awards takes place on March 28, 2021, at Broadbeach in Queensland. You can find more information about it here.
The VIP Awards will launch in Australia as part of the Retail Global Retail Fest, running to April 1st.
