“We Are In This Together” – Retail Global’s Digital Transformation
Australia is living in a digital world, now more than ever. While Retail Global is unable to host its annual convention when expected, it has found an innovative way to help retailers in a time of need.
Although we don’t have a crystal ball, it’s safe to predict that one of the biggest buzz words this year will be ‘digital’. For retail, e-commerce has been the leading platform during the pandemic, and it seems that this behaviour is set to stay.
While we can see the light at the end of the tunnel with this pandemic, there will be changes that will last much longer than COVID itself. As such, it’s important that retailers recognise these changes and action them into a new strategy to bulletproof their future.
Retail Global, which would normally be running at the end of the month along the Gold Coast, has been postponed until September. Despite this setback, there’s plenty of actionable tips and tricks to maintain a healthy and robust retail strategy into the future.
Making the most of this digital time, Retail Global is taking the opportunity to host a digital version of its educational conventions.
Retail Global Digital Day will run on May 27, and feature a myriad of e-commerce and retail specialists.
“Buzz words none of us had heard of until February this year, in keeping with the Retail Global tradition of bringing our Industry family together on the last Wednesday in May to help each other grow, we launched ‘Retail Global Digital Day’ with content voted for by the industry,” said Phil Leahy, the Founder and CEO of Retail Global.
Thirty industry experts will discuss their personal experiences with business and discuss what the future holds after COVID-19. “The day promises to be a discussion of the current climate, what the future holds from the customer perspective and from a business perspective with 30 industry leaders sharing personal stories backed up by real-life data,” Leahy told Power Retail.
“I wanted to extend myself and the Retail Global team to anyone who is struggling within the industry we are in this together and a BIG thank you to all our partners who shown support for us in the rescheduling to September 14-16,” Leahy explained.
Retail Global’s Digital Day takes place on 27 May. You can register for the event here.
