Online clothing retailer White Fox Boutique has been forced to cancel its Boxing Day sale in order to catch up with its backlog.

Sydney based online clothing retailer White Fox Boutique has been slammed by customers due to month long delivery delays. Some shoppers are claiming their Black Friday purchases are yet to be dispatched and with just days until Christmas, the retailer is being slammed online.

The retailer has responded to the controversy with a series of videos posted to its social media channels showing staff packing orders and promising they are working hard seven days a week with 200 staff on deck to fulfil orders. It was even approached by A Current Affair earlier this week with founders Georgia and Daniel Contos saying the brand has experienced unprecedented growth and demand.

“We went into this sale anticipating we’d have two to three times growth from last year and we pretty much hit over four times growth from last Black Friday,” Daniel said.

“Comparative to where we were this time last year we were sending out maybe 100,000 orders and now were trying to manage upwards of 750,000,” Daniel said. “We are present seven days a week in the warehouse at the moment, probably for both of us being like that for nearly a 12-week period.”

White Fox Boutique have cancelled their planned Boxing Day sale in order to better manage the backlog as well as reduced the amount of stock available online until the backlog is sorted.

“We have the stock and the orders are coming. We’re pretty much up to date this week it’ll be closing off everything,” Georgia told A Current Affair.

“It is very stressful for a lot of people…. we are doing everything we can to get them out as quick as possible.

“We’re learning as we go and yes even though we’re 10 years in, with that, as we scale with growth, there’s always going to be learning curves.”
